PTCL warns users of internet disruption this week over submarine maintenance

The Pakistan Telecommunication Company (PTCL) has warned consumers of possible internet disruption from May 11 to 18 because of maintenance work on a submarine cable.

“A maintenance activity is planned on one of our submarine cables to repair a fault by the International Cable Consortium,” PTCL said in a post on Sunday. It even said that the repair work will begin on May 11 and continue till May 18.

The state-owned telecom giant manages three undersea optical fibre cable networks that provide international internet connectivity to Pakistan.
