Digital Punjab-Enhancing Public Services Through Technology

The Punjab Information Technology recently launched its “Digital Punjab” report. This report is a comprehensive compilation of cross-sectoral initiatives pioneered by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) to modernise governance processes since its restructuring in 2011. It lists down sector-specific projects as well as cross-sectoral initiatives. The latter have been pioneered with a holistic approach towards modernisation of governance infrastructure and transformation of citizen-government interface in the public sector of the province. The subsections explain the need for individual projects, the interventions enabled by the PITB and the impact of those interventions.
