Armed men kill Pakistani TikTok star in Taxila

A woman, identified as Shamsoo Bibi alias Ayesha Gilamana, died after armed men killed her in a targeted attack in Taxila on August 14, also the day when Pakistan celebrates its Independence from the British rule.

The woman had over 1.3 million followers on TikTok.

Her father filed a case and stated that his 28-year-old daughter had left the house with her 15-year-old sister Aseema and brother Naimatullah after receiving the call of a man identified as Kashif alias Kashi. Shortly afterwards, he received a call saying that his daughter had been shot and another severely injured. He later went to THQ Taxila and identified his daughter’s body.

“My daughter Shamsoo Bibi used to make TikTok [videos] and had been doing so for nearly three to four years,” Sahibzada has said in the complaint, according to Arab News. “She had amassed around 1.3 million followers.”

The police have registered a case against the suspects identified by the deceased’s father and the unidentified persons under sections 302 (premeditated murder), 324 (attempted murder), 109 (Abetment) and 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) under the Pakistan Penal Code.
