Media Matters for Democracy is initiating a series of feature stories focused on the lived experiences of women and transgender people with technology and ICT usage. The series seeks to explore and highlight different dimensions of technology’s intersection with gender. We are looking for high impact, well researched, detailed pieces, in English or Urdu, featuring real experiences of women and transgender people.
The series will be published on Digital Rights Monitor, Pakistan’s first news outlet focused on digital rights and internet governance issues.
The opportunity is open only to Pakistan based women and transgender journalists. Each contributor will be paid a fixed rate of 15,000 PKR (inclusive of gov. taxes) per story (2500 – 3000 words).
