FAISALABAD: Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing on Saturday arrested a cyber criminal for sending obscene and objectionable pictures to a number of university students.

According to details, the FIA Cyber Crime Wing sprung into action after a number of female students from the city’s GC University complained that a man is harassing them by sending obscene photos, messages and sometimes their own pictures through unknown numbers.

The varsity students maintained that the man tried to blackmail them over their photos which he probably acquired by hacking university database.

FIA team traced the harasser and arrested him from his residence in Ilyas Park area of the city.

At least three smartphones and two laptop computers were recovered from the custody of suspect Ismail’s. The suspect is being interrogated while a case has been registered against him.
